...See more I work with people who have Alzheimer's and dementia. A week ago one of my residents strangled me. I know the signs when hes upset...there wasnt any at that time. He seemed fine. And theres always signs. My boss and the nurse seemed to not care about his safety or mine. While im over here crying all the time. A new form of depression where i dont eat. And im sleeping alot less. I feel broken. I dont know who to handle this and i love my job so much. Im not upset with him or blame him or myself. But it doesnt make the trauma any less for me. And i have no idea how to handle this. Get to the next monent without bawling. Or having panic attacks. Ive not had a trauma this bad. i dont sleep because of nightmares. And durning the day flashbacks. Im drained of energy. Heeeelp
