...See more The most traumatic thing thats happened to me was the death of my mom. My dad passed away from lung cancer, and the whole situation made my mom even more depressed and stressed than usual. One night, we had a small argument. She locked herself in her bedroom and I heard a loud banging noise, which I still dont know what from. I decided to leave her alone. The next day came and she hadnt come out from her room; I figured she really needed some alone time since it was the first weekend where we had no plans. I left her alone almost the whole day until I realized that I hadnt even heard her move. I unlocked her door with a butter knife and found her seemingly asleep. She was snoring loudly, but she usually snored anyway so I thought nothing of it. The day went by and I went to sleep. Sunday morning, she still hadnt gotten out of bed, but I had a soccer game to go to. I asked a friend to pick me up and drop me off. I checked on my mom before I left to make sure everything was okay. I was only 13 and didnt know anything about drug overdoses, alcohol poisoning, heart attacks, or anything of the sort. I just thought she was asleep. I got home from the game and checked on her again. She was still breathing, so I ate lunch. I was becoming more and more worried and checked on her again. This time she wasnt breathing and her fingers had turned blue. I called my grandma who then told me to call 911. I saw the medics try to resuscitate her, something I cant forget.
