I never saw the red flags.
Relationship Stress / by larson318

...See more I was engaged, happier then I had ever been in my life. She had a son and she had just moved in. We made a hard choice about an accidental pregnancy that I told her it was her body her choice i would support her no matter what. I didn't know how to cope afterwards because I wanted to be strong for her and she wouldn't talk to me about it so I tried to just stuff it down. Eventually it turned into resentment towards her son like I lost patience quickly little things, but I saw that and was working on it. It also killed my enthusiasm for about a week and I thought we had back things weren't new relationship fun we had just moved in together there was the normal stress that comes with that. Saturday before Father's day everything was fine. Father's day was extremely hard for me and I snapped on her child's father. I wanted to apologize and really thought things weren't that bad. She said she saw red flags along the way and that it wasn't even about Father's day. The one red flag that she said to me was a camera I had in my room because I use to live alone and watch my dog on it while at work. Every now and then I'd send her a clip if her son got the camera and was waving it around. He is two and I thought it was cute. She never told me how bad that bothered her. I would of changed it immediately if I did. We moved the relationship fast, but we promised we could work out anything. I never saw her leaving coming. I thought everything was normal given what we had done. I feel like a monster because I didn't know red flags were small insignificant things to me. I'm second guessing everything now.
