Isolation abroad, lost touch with friends at home,
Depression Support / by lavenderBlackberry5675

...See more Hello community! I've been wondering whether or not I need help to deal with how I'm dealing with problems and hard times lately. Situation is that I'm a foreign student living in Germany for over 1 year already and just started feeling all symptops of depression and bipolarity, whereas I used to have some anxiety problems. I should mention in the last 4 months there is barely a day when I don't cry and I have to admit I live almost completely isolated. The only person I had as a friend just left to go to USA for 1 year and I realized just how much I was attached to her and what a nice distraction from my thoughts she gave during my vacations. Now I am left alone and lost touch with most friends in my home country, have noone in GErmany (anxious and shy to talk here, cant find energy to keep new people in my life), am quitting university because i lost motivation and generally having some suicidal thoughts, because every close friend is either busy or extremely happy and so I become a burden. I wouldn't say I want to come back to my home country and am deffinitely not in a position where i can afford any psychological help. Now I don't know how to deal with it, it's too late to trick my mind and say "bullshit you're happy, stop it!" Because sad thoughts pop up almost every minute and I can't stop them..
