Going thru a break up

...See more I got broken up w a week ago. We were together for a year 1/2 and lived together. The move out process has been extremely difficult for me. At times all I can think about is the good times and how much I miss that. But I need to remind myself of the bad times too, and the real reasons why the split was necessary. What hurts the most is that we didn’t want to break up/ move out. We love each other and want to be together, but we can’t take proper care of ourselves, therefore we we’re not able to properly take care of each other Obviously I’m just venting here. I wanted to get out all of the bad things.. just to get it out and reflect on it as a way of coping • he would never compliment me, getting a ‘u look nice’ was like pulling teeth •he would never take me on dates. I planned and payed for all of our dates •he struggles greatly w empathy. I couldn’t vent to him without him getting frustrated and just plain mean •he rarely cleaned •the pickiest eater in the world. I ate garbage for so long bc he wouldn’t eat anything else… •would consistently diminish me and my feelings •would do things he knew made me anxious/ uncomfortable bc he thought it ‘was funny’ •would adamantly refuse to apologize when I told him he hurt my feelings •could not communicate any wants/ needs/ feelings, leading to him being frustrated and taking it out on me •awful w money and constantly broke •put more effort into hanging out/ planning w friends then w me •stated he shouldn’t need to take me on dates bc ‘just sitting on the couch together is quality time’ •would blatantly refuse to hug me when I was sad and BEGGING for a hug •would blow off chores/ half *** things I asked him to do around the house so he could go hang w friends •NEVER listened to me •could not emotionally support or comfort me •would refuse to help me w my action plan for panic attacks That’s all I can think of atm. I’ll use this post to come back to when I need a reminder. Thanks for reading
