Burnout and work issues

...See more I an struggling with burnout from my current work place. Even before covid, I was burnt out. I don’t like my workplace, and my primary reason for working here was to make sure I can earn a living. I am supporting my mom so that was another reason why I couldn't quit my job after all these years, but I am so tired of working at a place I feel no passion for. Everyday feels like a drag and pointless. I just start thinking about all the things I could be doing instead of being at work. Plus, my shifts ever since covid started have been crazy.. sometimes i would have to wake up at 5am just to get to work cause I was asked to cover shifts due to the shortage of staff, which frankly was an ongoing situation even before covid, while other times I would be asked to cover late shifts. In addition to this, so many of my colleagues have gone on maternity leave and while I want to be happy for them, I just can’t help but feel unhappy about the fact that they did this knowing we were already short staffed. I sound absolutely horrible saying this, but the fact that the company also refuses to hire a temporary replacement also frustrates me to no end. I feel very stuck. Everyday, all I want to do is run away and quit. I am trying to look for a new job so I don’t spontaneously quit my job and regret it soon after because I wont have any stable income to fall back on, but I don't know if my resume will be enough to gain me an advantage at finding the kind of job I’d like to because I was stuck in the hospitality industry for ten years to support my family. The work I want pursue and be involved in is mainly involving filmmaking or writing fiction/scripts or video editing. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can overcome my current situation, I would greatly appreciate it because right now I am sad and I only just realized how awful I was feeling until i started breaking down today. So any suggestions would help me right now. Thank you for reading.
