"life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it"

...See more * External events are the 10%: This refers to the unavoidable circumstances of life, such as accidents, setbacks, or how others treat you. You can't control the event itself. * Your reaction is the 90%: This is the crucial part. How you choose to respond to those events—whether with despair, anger, or resilience—dictates your future. For example, a person who loses their job might react with despair or see it as a chance to find a better career. * Building a positive outcome: By shifting your mindset to be positive and proactive, you can navigate difficulties more effectively. This involves controlling your attitude, focusing on what you can control, and reframing setbacks as learning experiences.  *   BY :- Charles R. Swindoll

...See more it means that being vulnerable - letting yourself to be open , honest , and emotionally exposed - isn't a flaw . it's actually a profound act of bravery .  someone hides behind the walls seems "strong" .... but they miss trust . The person crying in front of you is choosing strength . Vulnerability is context dependent : it's about sharing what feel safer to you . Vulnerability ≠ Weakness Vulnerability means choosing to show up, take risks , and acknowledge uncertainty / imperfection despite fear .  owning vulnerability teaches you that you can survive rejection/ setbacks ... and come out stronger.   :- Brene` Brown

...See more Stress is a common part of life, but effective relaxation techniques can help you manage it. This lesson explores Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) and Visualization, two powerful methods to help you unwind and reduce stress. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) This method helps you become more aware of physical tension and learn how to release it. How to Practice PMR: * Find a Quiet Space: Choose a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. * Get Comfortable: Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. * Start with Your Feet: Begin by tensing the muscles in your feet. Squeeze them tightly for about 5-10 seconds. * Release the Tension: Slowly relax the muscles, focusing on the sensation of release. Notice the difference between tension and relaxation. * Work Up Your Body: Move on to the next muscle group (calves, thighs, buttocks, abdomen, arms, etc.), repeating the process of tensing and relaxing. * Finish with Your Face: End with your facial muscles, tensing and then relaxing your forehead, eyes, and jaw. * Breathe Deeply: Take a few more deep breaths, enjoying the sense of calm and relaxation. Visualization :- This technique helps distract you from stress and promotes relaxation. How to Practice Visualization * Find a Quiet Space: Choose a quiet, comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed. * Get Comfortable: Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. * Choose a Peaceful Scene: Think of a place where you feel safe, relaxed, and happy. It could be a beach, a forest, a meadow, or any place that brings you peace. * Engage Your Senses: Imagine the details of this place. What do you see? What sounds do you hear? What can you smell? Feel the textures around you. * Immerse Yourself: Spend a few minutes fully immersed in this scene, allowing yourself to feel the calm and tranquility it brings. * Return Slowly: When you’re ready, slowly bring your attention back to the present. Take a few deep breaths and open your eyes.  Benefits of PMR and Visualization :- Physical Relaxation, Mental Calm , Improved Sleep , Enhanced Well-Being  By practicing regularly, you can enhance your ability to relax and maintain a sense of calm even in stressful situations.

...See more We all experience setbacks, failures, and moments of self-doubt. But how we treat ourselves during these times significantly impacts our well-being. This lesson explores the concept of self-compassion, a powerful tool for cultivating kindness and understanding towards yourself, fostering resilience and emotional well-being.  Self-Criticism vs. Self-Compassion Many of us have an inner critic that’s quick to judge and blame when things go wrong. Self-compassion challenges this inner critic and offers a gentler, more supportive approach. Here’s a breakdown of the key differences: * Self-Criticism: Focuses on negativity and blame. "I can’t believe I messed up again. I’m such a failure." * Self-Compassion: Acknowledges shortcomings with kindness and understanding. "Everyone makes mistakes. This doesn’t define me. What can I learn from this experience?"The Benefits of Self-Compassion :- Reduced Stress and Anxiety  , Increased Resilience , Improved Relationships , Enhanced Motivation  Cultivating Self-Compassion  * Mindful Self-Awareness: Pay attention to your self-talk, particularly when you’re feeling down. Notice the critical thoughts and challenge them with kinder alternatives. * Common Humanity: Remind yourself that everyone makes mistakes and experiences challenges. You’re not alone. * Self-Kindness: Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer a close friend going through a difficult time. * Mindfulness Practices: Meditation and other mindfulness practices can help cultivate self-awareness and acceptance. Remember -  There will be setbacks, but be patient with yourself and celebrate your progress. Over time, self-compassion will become a natural part of your inner dialogue, fostering greater self-acceptance, resilience, and overall well-being.
