...See more I am hoping I can manage tomorrow and to be brave. My abuser used to be my best friend; he passed away April 1st. I have waves of mixed emotions. Taking the parts of his life and friendship I want to savor and remember along with the parts that feel like pouring salt into a deep festering wound make working thru things all the more difficult. Recently was able to meet up with his mom and share with her what happened to me at the hands of her son; while that was freeing and I recieved a lot of support from her (which I am extremely grateful for!) I still feel amiss. I work with a therapist currently, but don't feel as though we have been making progress like I should. I do have an amazing support system of people who care, but tomorrow I feel like I may be triggered to relieve the memories and flashbacks and I feel better sharing this where others may sadly understand the exact types of emotions ebbing and flowing from and thru me. Any support, encouragement, or advice would be appreciated! Thank you in advance. ♥️
