I'm here as a listener and in my daily life outside of 7cups I work as a Counsellor. I have spent the last 4 years working in disability here in Australia. I have worked with clients starting at 3 years of age going well up to 65. Before that I worked with families for 16 years and gave a huge effort there. I have a lot of empathy and compassion coupled with real life skills and practicality. I know a lot of people can't afford counsellors and sometimes you might not get out of it what you want. I am not here to counsel you, just to be clear. So please don't expect that. However, I do have a few skills that might support you to move through whatever it is that you are moving through. If I can't support you or help you I'll move you on to another listener. Sometimes listeners without any quals can be immensely helpful. This can be a wonderful and amasing service for a lot of people and I am glad to be a part of it :) I'm also glad you're a part of 7cups :) Also, my opening line is always, "hello" but don't be deterred. I have ADHD, Dyslexia and potentially be on the spectrum, mildly.
