...See more Hi everyone! 32f here, hoping to make some new friends. Very recently going through a wlw breakup and really struggling with the loneliness. We were living together and they worked overnight sometimes so every other day was spent together and I was just used to the lovely routine we’d made together. We kept getting into conflict over minor things that would often end up escalating because we weren’t able to communicate without either of us being defensive. I struggled with the fact that when we would have these conflicts she would threaten the relationship and tried to find better ways of communicating but often felt like I was the only one expected to put in the work to make change and the one who was being seen as the problem who needed fixing rather than it being us against the problem. To me I always saw us as two people still on our healing journeys from past traumas just trying our best. Things ended last weekend after yet another minor conflict that could have been resolved with more patience and kind words that neither of us had capacity for. For context I was on my period and I suffer with PMDD so I was really struggling that day with bad brain. I struggled to show up with the patience that was needed. And then the next morning she ended it, there wasn’t any discussion to be had she had made up her mind that the end goal of the conversation was that she was ending it. And so I let her, as much as it hurt, so much of what I loved about the relationship had become lost over time and I didn’t want us to end up hating each other. There’s still so much love there right now. We’re not no contact but we aren’t in regular communication anymore and I find myself reaching for my phone to text her, to send her reels and cute things like I used to, to call her because I miss hearing her voice. But I know that I can’t. We spoke briefly today because her dog, who I once cared for as my own dog, had been to the vets and I wanted to know how she was, turns out she’ll be okay and doesn’t need surgery after all so that’s nice. All this to say I’m a lovely gal now, I have my closest friend for support but she’s not been around today so I’ve been struggling with it on my own. Would really love to find some other queer women to be friends with right now. A bit about me and not my sob story, I’m a graphic designer, I love all things art, always have a new hobby, I love reading when I get the itch and gaming on my switch 2, I play animal crossing and pokopia mostly rn but would love some new suggestions! Other than that I’m passionate about treating people with kindness and empathy and would love to find some likeminded people to talk to!
