Bio

I am a First-Class Pharmacist, public health enthusiast, and creative designer with a strong passion for mental health research, neuropharmacology, and healthcare innovation. My academic and professional journey has been shaped by a deep interest in understanding how science, research, and communication can improve health outcomes, especially in underserved communities.

I earned my Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Ilorin with distinction and currently serve as a resident trainee under the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists, where I plan to specialize in mental and behavioral health pharmacy. During my internship at the Federal Teaching Hospital Ido Ekiti, particularly in the mental health pharmacy unit, I developed a stronger commitment to psychiatric care, patient-centered treatment, and mental health advocacy.

Beyond pharmacy and research, I am also a motion and brand designer who enjoys using visual storytelling to simplify ideas and create meaningful digital experiences. I have worked on branding, motion graphics, and UI-focused projects for startups and organizations, combining creativity with strategy to communicate effectively.

My interests span neuropharmacology, pharmacogenomics, public health, behavioral sciences, and healthcare communication. I am passionate about contributing to research, developing innovative healthcare solutions, and creating impact through both science and design.

...See more Recovery is often described as a journey rather than a destination. There are days when staying committed feels easier and days when it feels incredibly difficult. During those challenging moments, having a reason to keep going can make all the difference. Motivation looks different for everyone. For some, it’s family or loved ones. For others, it’s improving their health, rebuilding trust, pursuing a career, or simply wanting a better future. No reason is too small if it helps you take another positive step forward. It’s also important to remember that motivation can change over time. On days when motivation is low, relying on healthy routines, supportive relationships, and the progress you’ve already made can help you stay on track. Recovery isn’t about never struggling—it’s about continuing to move forward despite the struggles. This community is a place where we can encourage one another by sharing hope, experiences, and practical ideas. Your words may be exactly what someone else needs to hear today. Discussion Questions: * What is the biggest reason that motivates you to continue your recovery journey? * When you feel discouraged, what helps you regain hope and stay focused on your goals?

The Power of a Strong Support System in Recovery

...See more Recovery from addiction can feel overwhelming, especially during difficult moments. While everyone’s journey is unique, one factor that often makes a significant difference is having a support system. Support can come from family, friends, counselors, support groups, or even online communities like this one. Knowing that someone is willing to listen without judgment can make it easier to face challenges and stay committed to recovery. A support system doesn’t always solve our problems, but it can remind us that we don’t have to face them alone. Sometimes, simply talking about how we’re feeling can reduce stress and help us make healthier decisions. At the same time, learning to support ourselves through self-care, setting healthy boundaries, and practicing self-compassion is just as important. Recovery is not about being perfect. There may be setbacks along the way, but setbacks do not erase the progress you’ve already made. Every day you choose to keep moving forward is another step toward a healthier future. Whether you’re just beginning your recovery journey or have been working on it for years, your experiences may encourage someone else who is feeling discouraged today. Sharing what has worked for you could give another person hope. Discussion Questions: * Who has been the biggest source of support in your recovery journey, and what have they done that helped you most? * If you could give one piece of advice to someone who is just beginning their recovery, what would it be? Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Every experience shared with kindness and respect helps make this community a safer and more supportive place for everyone.

...See more Recovery from addiction is rarely a straight path. Many people experience setbacks, moments of doubt, or days when progress feels slow. However, every small positive choice—whether it’s asking for help, avoiding a trigger, attending a support meeting, or simply getting through a difficult day without giving up—is a meaningful achievement. One thing that often helps is remembering that recovery is about progress, not perfection. Being kind to ourselves after a difficult day can make it easier to keep moving forward instead of feeling defeated. Building healthy habits, staying connected with supportive people, and celebrating small victories can strengthen long-term recovery. Everyone’s journey is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. Sharing experiences can remind others that they are not alone and that hope is possible, even during challenging times. If you’re comfortable sharing, I’d love to hear from you: * What is one habit, mindset, or activity that has helped you stay on your recovery journey? * How do you encourage yourself when you’re facing cravings or difficult moments? Thank you for being part of this supportive community. Your story, no matter how small it may seem, could inspire someone else today.
