How to Connect with people?!

...See more Hi! Maybe some of you have experience this difficulty with truly connecting. As a general rule I'd much prefer a room full of kids and animals than adults. I've struggled all my life in making connections and with good reason. Most people think I'm this crazy outgoing person; many don't really know me. My close friends and family realize I give but not receive making it difficult for them to really know me. I know they love me, would do anything for me, and think I'm a wonderful person. It's hard to accept this when I feel like a fraud; like one day they will see the real me and then leave. I try distance, faking it, to try to move forward and forge those real connections. Does anyone relate? Any tips, support, or tools you found helpful?
