The mountains are calling, so off I will go, With wind in my hair and my heart all aglow. I’ll dance with the trees and I’ll sing with the breeze, Lie back in the grass, do absolutely nothing with ease. Not every rock shines, not every path’s neat, But joy doesn't live where things must be complete. I’ll laugh at the tumble, the scrapes on my knees, Find beauty in bugs and the bend of old trees. The things we ignore, the ones we call "strange," Might just be waiting for us to exchange— A look full of wonder, a moment of grace, A slow kind of love that the fast world won't chase. I’ve learned to adore what’s messy and wild,Like mismatched socks and a curious child. No polish, no filter, no need to impress, Just joy in the being, not striving for less. So give me the weird and the wonky and true, And I’ll give the world all the love that I do.
