Dealing with tinnitus

...See more Hello everyone! I just discovered this app that was recommended to me, so I’m not sure how it works yet, but I thought posting here was the best thing to do. In general, I’m always in a good mood, and I’ve rarely had depressive phases, but these past two weeks have been *** for me, and it’s still ongoing. Unfortunately, I developed tinnitus and I’m naturally very stressed. Since January 13, 2025, I’ve been crying every single day, literally just crying, I can barely eat, I have dizziness and nausea, basically the whole package… For those who don’t know exactly what tinnitus is, it’s a ringing or buzzing sound that constantly plays in one or both ears, without any break. And it’s incurable in most cases (including mine). However, it’s not even the sound of the tinnitus that bothers me—it’s actually quite mild—it’s the fact that I have it that’s putting me in such a terrible state. It’s so hard to explain, but it’s really making me sick. I still go to school, though, and I’m generally a very good student, but since the tinnitus, I just can’t focus in class, and my friends at school are drifting away from me. At the same time, I’m constantly irritable, and I totally understand why they’re distancing themselves. I could go on, but I’ll stop here for my first post. Anyway, just installing this app has given me a bit of hope, everyone here seems really nice!
