...See more Hi, I'm an adult woman with depression and anxiety. I self-harm to help relieve the emotional pain I feel inside. I am not suicidal and have been able to control the harm I do. But I am deeply ashamed to be a well-educated, 38 year old woman with a career and a home, who uses self-harm as a coping mechanism. I did not do this as a teen or young adult. I started in my mid 30s. I would like to find others who struggle with this issue. Thank you.
