...See more What is it called when my girlfriend tells me things in the moment to make me feel better but then later on has a reason why she should do it? Example: My girlfriend is in a sorority and she’s always said she is going to drop the sorority. The year is coming to an end and she’s told me many times that she is getting an apartment and dropping. Well she got approved for an apartment not too long ago and I thought she was forsure dropping. Now when I would ask if she was dropping it turned from a Yes to a “probably idk”. And then now she applied for a status where she’s still apart of the sorority but doesn’t live there. I feel like she kind of manipulates me or gaslights me just to make me feel better in the moment. This has happened with so many different things, like telling me I can go on next years vacation but when it comes alll of a sudden there’s all these things making me not able to. I feel like it’s lying at this point.
