Lack of Physical Chemistry After 3 Years – Is There Any Way to Rekindle It?
Relationship Stress / by persistentLime7715

...See more My boyfriend (28M) and I (28F) have been together for 3 years. We met online and connected emotionally right away. When we met in person, he told me he didn’t feel much physical attraction but that he admired my personality, maturity, and kindness. It hurt, but I accepted it, hoping things might change over time. We’ve had a genuinely loving relationship. We’re affectionate, we laugh a lot, we’re physically close in everyday ways. But I’ve always felt like something’s missing. That spark, the feeling of being truly desired. At one point I found out he had secretly taken pictures of women in public. He apologized and deeply regretted it, and nothing like that has happened since. More recently, he told me he felt a physical attraction to a classmate and asked her to keep some distance. I appreciated his honesty, but it hurt. It made me feel like that kind of desire was always directed elsewhere, never really toward me. We’re going on a holiday together in a month, and I’m quietly hoping it might help us reconnect on that level. If things still don’t change after that, I’m thinking of suggesting a break. Not because I don’t love him but because I’m starting to feel emotionally drained. Please don’t just reply with “break up” or “you deserve better.” I already know that’s a possible option, and it’s always in the back of my mind. I’m not ignoring reality. I just want to know if anyone has gone through something similar and whether physical or sexual attraction can grow over time in a relationship where the emotional bond is strong but the chemistry is weak. I wanna understand do we have any other solution rather than break up. Any insight or experience is really appreciated. Thanks.
