I provde residential services for adults with intellectual developmental disabilities and many times they have a secondary diagnosis of mental health issues. I am seeking knowledge, support, resources and suggestions so I can provide the supports needed to a resident that has recently received a diagnosis of BPD (had been misdiagnosis with bi-polar). About me...I'm a mother, grandmother, wife and live in close proxcimity to many extended family members, so you that that can be straining at time, but most of the time is great. I am a retired nurse and have been working with adults with special needs since 1989. I love arts/crafts, repurposing furniture and yard work. I love music (most all), new adventures, traveling, and meeting new people. I am going back to Italy in Feb 2019 for some great pasta dishes. I don't mind sharing so ask away.
