Hello! I'm Philosophyandletters, although you can just call me Marie.
Here are some facts about me:
I'm a newly minted 30 something.
I'm an American, although I have lived abroad for several years.
I've travelled to over 10 different countries.
Travelling, teaching and writing are my passions.
Now that we have the perfunctory stuff out of the way, I'll tell you more about my interior. I've struggled with depression, suicidal ideation, cutting and body image issues throughout my life. I've accomplished much, but I understand how it is to feel alone, and out of touch with others in your life. Many of us are involved in superficial relationships where we can't authentically discuss who we truly are, and I want to be a support for that. If you'd like to talk about serious issues in your life then I'm your girl. However, if you'd like to also talk about trivial matters then I'll lend my ear for that as well. It's really important to make sure that I can meet you where you are at, so that will be my goal during our conversation.
Please keep in mind that at times the site gets busy, so if we connect and you don't respond within ten minutes time, I may have to move on to someone else in the cheque.
