...See more I dated "Andy" for about a year and I loved him and everything about our relationship. We always had fun together, we could talk about anything...he was my best friend. We wanted the same things in life - and he and I discussed getting married with the general promise he would propose this last spring. Of course, I wanted him to meet my parents first, so I arranged for us to see them over the holidays and he...didn't show. He completely ghosted me. Then, he showed up again at the beginning of March. He'd moved to another state, said he didn't know how to tell me he'd decided to move for this "dream job" instead of settling down in my city with me. So, he just left. But, apparently he couldn't stop thinking about me and felt stupid for not asking if I'd come with him etc. So, I let him back into my life hoping it might work out. When we talk on the phone it's like old times and he's the man I loved. But, he seldom replies to my texts and he canceled our in-person meeting because of work and I just feel like he likes the idea of me but won't do the work to fix things. Another attractive guy has shown interest and is much more deserving of my attention but losing "Andy" is like ripping my entire soul out. I don't think I'll ever love anyone so much. I've already told "Andy" that if he doesn't meet with me in the next two weeks, I'm dating this other guy exclusively. How do I find the strength to actually walk away?
