Why would a nice guy play mind games? Plz help!

...See more So this guy was super into me and I told him that I found him attractive. Since then he’s been negging me. It’s so weird and confusing bc he really isn’t the type of person who plays games. He was this amazing guy who is super friendly, helpful, speaks up for BIPOC, women, children, etc. He did something super crappy after which I stopped talking to him and since then he’s been constantly staring at me, staying close to make it obvious that he isn’t going to talk first (even tho he should), is super friendly with my friends, his friends are friendly with me. I’m not going to run after a guy who’s messing with my head but it’s really frustrating and confusing. He really isn’t a player or anything. I don’t know why he’s acting like this. I don’t know what I should do. All I know is that I shouldn’t pay him any attention but it’s kind of hard when he isn’t leaving me alone. I don’t know how a person and especially him can act in such a mean way. It’s just not the man I knew.
