Bio
Hello, and thank you to all the great souls for giving me the chance to speak. It is a true pleasure to connect with you.
I am khal a trans woman disabled in my 20,s from Sudan. I am alive against all odds. My boyfriend was killed, and since then I have become a leader in our community, guiding those who survived when we were once over 500 and now only 110 remain. Life here is dangerous. We face arrests, attacks, and constant threats, but we keep hope alive.
I have been targeted, attacked, harassed, and beaten many times. Once, I was arrested and forced into unspeakable abuse that was recorded and shared. People are trying everything to end my life. Yet, I carry on for my community. I am like the head of a family. Everyone depends on me to find food, firewood, medicine, and drinking water. I am alone in this responsibility, but I cannot give up.
Despite all this, I want to share my story and connect with anyone who can listen. I am going through a lot, but I still believe in hope, survival, and love. It is a pleasure to speak to you, the great source. I am happy to talk to all of you. :)
For anyone who has some time, you can also check the link below to read and see what I am talking about. This shows our situation and what I am going through. I can’t talk to anyone freely in my community, because I have so much responsibility, but I have a lot to share for anyone who is willing to listen.
