Not sure what to do

...See more My dad left my mom for another woman a few months ago after more than forty years of marriage. My siblings and I have done our best to help her manage her finances, downsize her home, and try to plan for what comes next. However, over the course of the last month or so she has attempted suicide three times. After the first time, she voluntarily had herself committed. After the second time - which she told me about over text after she had left her home and gone no contact for 24 hours- I called the police to have them check on her. They found her crawling down a steep river bank to throw herself into the flooded river and took her to the hospital. She has been in residential treatment ever since but will be released sometime in the next week. I am not sure what to do next. She needs full-time care, but my siblings and I cannot give it to her for a variety of reasons. I'm not sure that we/she can afford a private residential program. She is diagnosed with mental illness and is on medication, but for a while at least she will need 24-hour care. I am at a loss to know where to even start looking for the next steps. Has anyone else dealt with this? Have any advice on what we should do next? I am taking care of myself - seeing a counselor, spending time with a supportive community, getting enough sleep. At this point, it really is just dealing with guilt for not being able to give her the care she needs.
