...See more Hey everyone! I have been suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder from as long as my memory goes. I am 20 currently. Is it possible to overcome BPD completely? I haven't taken any counselling therapies yet. But I am really want to depart completely from the suffering that comes with BPD. I would say I have infact made a big recovery by strenghtening my faith in buddhist practise( At that moment I clutched on to it because it was the only thing that gave me hope.). Especially as far as my suicidal and self loathing tendecies went. Very honestly the recovery was so liberating that I nearly thought I have totally overcome BPD. However recently I have observed some recurrency in few of my thinking patterns when it comes to my boyfriend's behaviour towards me. He is the only person I feel is closest, so whatever possible manifestations of BPD are there are mostly directed towards him, although not in action but in thinking wise. For eg. He doesn't say I love as often as I do, has he fallen out of love with me? Although I do try to rationalize that this is not what I think it is, the thinking just recurs. I have realized that self whipping doesn't work. Currently I am being mindful of my tendecies. All this makes wonder if I can truely overcome it or I will have to live with it for the rest of my life. Thank you very much
