...See more My dad raped me between the ages of 7 and 16. I never told anyone because I was worried about how my family would react so I was relieved when he walked out on us when I was 16. I have been no contact since. I happen to share a birthday with him and on my birthday every year I get a letter from him complaining about everything that is wrong with his life. There is no way I can stop him from sending these letters because although they are distressing to me they do not appear to be malicious to others and it is hard to explain without telling why I really hate him. I would love to have advice on how to deal with this as my next birthday is in a few months. Thank you.
