...See more I’m 17 and I’m starting to realize that I need to stop smoking weed. I’ve been smoking weed for about 3 years straight and it has really taken a toll on me. My parents have smoked pot since forever they use it to self medicate but at some point I picked it up and used it to escape reality. I’m starting to realize I can’t deal with the way I feel when I’m sober because I’m so used to smoking it away. I’m a student athlete and I’ve been wrestling for as long as I can remember and I feel like I let so many people down including myself because of my addiction. My boyfriend has told me to quit and it got to the point where I lied to him about quitting but I’ve been smoking daily. Today was the first day i woke up and ignored the urge to smoke for me. I need to become dependent on feeling my feelings and dealing with them correctly. It’s time for a change and a tip I have is find your high in things that positivity effect you for example running, walks, and reading just give your brain a healthy high doing things you love. I’m gonna try my hardest to stay strong and push through this just remember if you feel alone the lords with you the whole way.
