...See more Hey guys! So I was excited to see some new badges in the training section, however the weight management one was slightly difficult for me to feel okay in doing. I am glad I completed it but I'm struggling a bit with not wanting to go into the "healthy lifestyle" and eventually that will lead me deeper into my anorexia. How can I work through those things without being too triggered? I didn't think something like that would bother me but perhaps I'm more fragile than I thought.
I Didn't Put It On My Work Form...

...See more While filling out forms for my (first!) job as a Starbucks barista I put "prefer not to answer" on disability forms that included ptsd, ocd, depression etc not because I'm ashamed, but I don't have a written diagnosis even though I've been treated. I didn't think it would interfere since I recieve therapy and other appointments regularly, but I ran into someone who looked very similar to someone who I have a strong trauma connection to. I hadn't had flashbacks for a while but I got really dizzy and thankfully didn't faint, but I'm starting to wonder what happens if/when I can't manage it? What do I tell my boss?

...See more Hi there! This is a thread that probably already exists but I couldn't find it, so I created one! I thought it would be helpful to give and/or receive some ideas for coping skills that are healthier. I'll drop some that work for me (though not one thing will work for everyone) and see what you all come up with! Food guilt- distraction such as music, intricate coloring books, socializing with a game or movie Food anxiety- reaching out for help, reading body positive articles, mindfulness exercises Poor body image- wearing comfy clothes, washing my face, positive affirmations Lack of motivation- reading recovery oriented quotes, listening to uplifting music, reaching out It doesn't matter what emotions or situations, I'm just excited to see what you all come up with!
