...See more Hello all, I've come to this forum to finally get this off my chest and see if anyone can tell me why I keep having these dreams. I'll start with now. I'm currently in a very happy supportive relationship, we've been together for 3 and a half years and I will marry him someday. In high school, my boyfriend for over a year through high school cheated on me and humiliated me causing years worth of self esteem issues for me. In the past 2 years I've had a spark of anxiety through a tough school experience and a cut throat job environment. Through these years, I've had these recurring dreams that include my ex boyfriend in them. They get very interesting, never sexual, more emotional. For example, last night, I dreamt of my wedding day but I wasn't marrying my current boyfriend it was another man. Right before the wedding, my ex reached out to me to talk about being friends again and I ran at the altar to drive to him. I don't have any feelings for him. Sometimes in these dreams he'll be just in the back ground. I have vivid dreams. These dreams will be for weeks at a time and then stop for a few months. Please, if anyone could help me figure these dreams out and make them stop it would be very kind and appreciated!
