...See more Wasn't sure where to post this but I think this is appropriate, so sorry if I picked the wrong thread. This is something weird that happened to me recently. I have social anxiety and anxiety attacks especially in public and crowded places a lot, at least once a month. I recently had a persistent stressful situation occur, a medical condition to a close family member which lasted around 2 months. During this time I did not have one anxiety attack even in situations that normally trigger them for me. While I admit I often have anxiety attacks with people more than I do alone and I was alone more than normal during this time but I do have them alone and didn't even once. I didn't even think about it much, maybe once. Then after the situation ended I started having them again almost immediately. I started thinking about this later and realised that often when very stressful things have occurred my anxiety attacks, not my anxiety necessarily just the attacks, have significantly reduced if not completely gone away. Has this happened to anyone else? Or is it normally the reverse because that's how I assume it would normally be?
