...See more The fear is the worst part of it all. The total consuming fear. It’s physically overwhelming. I hope I can sleep well tonight.

...See more I’m trying to stay positive but every day is difficult for me. It seems that the key for true recovery is… * effort * consistency * time Facing fears little by little every day. Time is the worst part of it all. The uncertainty of life is also scary. I wish I had a little room to recover my health and wellness safely, for as long as I needed, then I could pop back into the world, normal, ready. However things don’t work this way. I used to be a happy and joyful person naturally. It comes harder to me now. But I don’t want to give up… I would love to hear recovery and success stories.

...See more I recently had a month-long panic over my job that ended with me not only losing my job, but launching into the worst anxious spiral of my life. I feel like I’ve been shot through a portal into some hellish dimension of internal suffering and I have no idea how to escape. Anyway, I’m looking into anxiety and OCD therapy, and I’m nervous about the whole “sitting with discomfort” thing. Sometimes it feels like it makes things worse and more scary, especially with physical symptoms. I want to learn how to get past those because they feel so freaky and real… but I want to learn to control my responses. It seems like the only way to get better, so if anyone has advice on that specifically I’d like to hear it.
