I don't know why I keep eating when I'm alone

...See more My wife works in the evening and I can't seem to control how much I eat when she's not there. I never could stand being alone, but I don't even understand that because I've gone on solo week long hikes...on purpose. I did find peace in that. I'm generally an upbeat person, passion ate about my hobbies like writing, music. I'm not bad overweight but wish I were thinner...don't we all... but it really concerns me that I seem to have no control over eating. I'm over full but keep looking for the next snack, and it's only when she is away. I feel lonely when she's not there but I try to keep myself engaged in something...anything. I'm confused enough to be writing this on a web site to who knows who. I've thought about writing a letter to my wife but hesitate. I don't want to burden her..she's out there earning money to pay the bills and im"semi retired". Cal
