I appreciated the gentleness and the openness to listen about gender related topics. The maturity to understand the dynamics of young adults and their parents perspectives. To offer encouragement though coping skill exercises, distract and describe. When they had to leave momentarily, they warned me and made me feel assured they would return. I never felt like I was boring them, that they cared, and were really there to listen, not just "tell" me how to fix my problems. Sometimes you just need to vent and not worry about, okay, now go fix it. I am not ready for fixing, am just trying to get it all straight in my head, first. And most smileworthy of all was that South2015 asked when I would be back. Oh, someone cares? I am not just a name on a list to shuffle through to the next one? And yes, I am going to come back because I feel welcomed to come back, and not a burden on someone. I want to share the good things that came out of today. I think that is important to listeners, too. They need to know what they are doing matters, even if it is laughing about my joke about tin foil hats. :)
