Trying to understand
Relationship Stress / by sunnyAvocado3593

...See more Hi all, We are entering a crazy dynamic of our relationship. We have been together a few years now and I’m at a point where I am not understanding my partner. so, I want to add that my partner (I have as well) a history of a bad relationship. I recovered and so did my SO. However, my SO had developed some psychological aspects that can affect things like personal space. Since we have met, and prior to, I have a lot of animals that I love dearly. I keep my house clean, animals are loved and unfortunately my SO feels overwhelmed. Now keep in mind we don’t live together and we are not at my house as often as I’d like. So when entering my space, it can be overwhelming. I try to keep animals from invading personal space and at night, I don’t allow animals in the bedroom. fast forward a little…. I lost an animal and I didn’t like the empty feeling in my house so I wanted to get a pet to make my space more complete. My so, again we aren’t cohabitating, was not happy to the point where we didn’t talk much. My SO wanted space and made it clear that I don’t understand nor respect boundaries. Now I know yall cannot answer for my SO but I’m trying to see how my own space and animals would be me not respectful of his boundaries? I am not angry, just trying to understand because my SO seems fine when coming over and does not express any feelings of being overwhelmed. Other than when we first met. Just based off how he’s communicating and lack of, I just have this suspicion that he just doesn’t want to continue a relationship with me. We will be talking soon but wanted some advice from yall.  sorry for the long message but thanks in advance!
