Is my trauma not bad enough for a diagnosis?

...See more My therapist diagnosed me with PTSD. I haven’t yet told her what my trauma is but she read from a symptoms list, I answered questions, and she said I have PTSD. I wasn’t in a war or severely raped (although I do know what my trauma was) so I was surprised. How bad does trauma have to be to be considered ptsd?
