Listeners who are "on call"

...See more I am still kind of new here and trying to learn my way around. I will be starting a (medically approved) independent emotional healing program in the next few weeks. It is a series of techniques that are done daily for a number of days until you feel some relief. I had to purchase the technique material from a company. The company suggests that while completing the technique, you should have a support person nearby (in person or on zoom) in case it becomes overwhelming for you. The person does not to be a trained professional; it can be a friend, relative, or kind listener. The person would just kind of ground you if you start to feel overwhelmed. Then you would stop the activity and resume in a day or 2. I am trying to figure out whether I can access a listener to be my support person. Basically, we would be connected by chat for the 5-10 minutes that it takes me to complete the daily program and I would only reach out if I was becoming overwhelmed. I can't wait until I am overwhelmed and then request a listener; it will be most helpful if the listener is already waiting and ready to support me. I don't have any suitable friends or relatives who can provide me this service and I certainly don't need a trained therapist for $150 an hour. Could this sort of arrangement work on 7 cups? I don't mind if the listener is a different person each time; I just want to know if I could request a listener and then ask them to remain silent for a few minutes but on call if I get overwhelmed. Or is there a live group that could work also-I would be in the group and be silent unless I needed some support-except it would need to be pretty quick-I don't want to have to get in a queue when i need the support. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

...See more I have a goal of something I am trying to accomplish over the next few months. My depression and anxiety are getting in the way but I am working really hard in therapy and making progress. Is there any sort of forum for people who are looking for motivation and/or accountability to achieve a goal?
