relationship with my sister is deteriorating...and I don't want to fix it

...See more Hey! I thought I'd share as I'm having some problems with my sister and wondered if anyone could relate. I was homeschooled as a kid and never had much interaction with other kids my age until I started working when I was a teenager, so I was really close with my siblings when I was young, particularly my older sister. However, now that I am becoming more of my own person, developing my own identity, we aren't close anymore - she was pretty awful to me as I for years attempted to force my way out of the closet; she conforms to our strict mom's rules and expectations and gets upset at me for complaining about the rules and trying to bend them; for the most part, we are just becoming very different people and don't get along anymore. This doesn't bother me - it's always seemed strange to me that siblings are expected to get along, we are distinct people who were just forced to grow up in the same household, and my sister and I really have very little in common. So as we've drifted apart, I have made any sort of effort to rekindle closeness, as I don't feel a pull to do so. However, lately she's kind of been coming at me, saying that I'm being "short," "cold," and "combative." I don't think I'm being any of these things, I'm just not being super forthcoming because I have no particular desire to interact with her. I think she sees that we are no longer close and wants to stay close, while I do not. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? My sister and I are different people now, and I honestly don't like who she has become - which is fine, she is an adult and I am almost so, and we are not the same as we were when we were kids. I'm just not sure how to handle the fact that we are no longer close when we live in the same house and she clearly still wants to be close.
