I’m a Schrödinger's cat person

once I did crush one of those electric tractors into an aircraft parked at the Marco Polo airport of Venice. I guess that makes me an air-crush survivor. I also crush landed with a tandem paraglide into a Muslim cemetery in China: 10,000 deaths! But I’m still alive.

...See more Ever fantasized about how you’d had better managed situations in the past with your current mindset? What about going back to high school, say, and navigate through teenage dramas with more confidence? But have you ever imagined how your future self would like to be in your present shoes and throw all those limiting beliefs out of the window?

...See more A relationship is like a tv show where the writing gets progressively worse. cause on season one, you go like: “this is good!”. Season three comes along, you’re like: “We should kill off a character. We gotta keep people engaged here!”.

...See more Have you watched this show? It’s about people living two separate lives. When they’re at the office they don’t remember what happened at home and viceversa. The main character choose to comply with this work policy as a convenient way to cope with the loss of a loved one. Would you ever consider doing the same for whatever reason?

Asking the right questions

...See more Is it true that suffering is ultimately inevitable? If so, should we stop trying to avoid suffering, and ask instead what is really worth suffering for? Is it possible to figure out something that we’re going to gladly sacrifice for? Something that while on the process of achieving it makes us sustainably and organically grow. To the point that the external validation of reaching our goals is not as much as the intrinsic value derived from the quest itself. Values such as agency, or community or maybe meaning. And what do these words really represent? Is agency the feeing of control over our life? Or is it the quality of those who take full ownership of their choices? Is community the feeling of belonging, or the commitment to support those we care about? Is meaning a general sense of purpose in life, or the mindful connection to direct experience agains which we can constantly check and adjust our model of reality?

...See more Can dopamine regulation help with fear management? I wonder if restricting distractions-derived-pleasure can mitigate fear of experiencing pain. I’ve lately struggled a lot with being present outside of formal meditation sessions. I’m hunted by anxiety and panic attacks. Practicing mindfulness feels like not enough anymore. Maybe if I could smooth out the pain-pleasure seesaw excursion, then also my fear of suffering would adjust automatically. any thoughts or suggestions?

Introduction
35 & Over Community / by thehealingpath9

...See more I’m 45 already and still going through a very difficult breakup… which is kind of frustrating given my age. Or is it that my generation is not really into successful relationships? If not, please just let me believe so. Even tho deep inside I know I’m relentlessly sabotaging my own well-being. So I’m on a quest to identify and deconstruct self limiting beliefs; I think I’d like to become the person that I needed to be around when I was a kid. Unfortunately right now I’m just super anxious and completely identified with a nightmarish story I tell myself about my experience. Well I should add this intro to my LinkedIn profile. Anyway nice to meet you all and let me know if you liked the tv show Dreamcorp LLC
