...See more A friend from grad school contacted me recently. It had been years. She wanted to work on a project together and I loved the idea. We had a meeting and I mentioned being on disability and she said, “this using your mind”. We’ll, I’m on disability for my mental illness. I figured, since we are going to start a company together, she should know. I sent her an email yesterday afternoon and haven’t heard back. She’s probably too busy. She has kids and an ailing mother to care for. Still I can’t help but feel insecure 😟

...See more Hi, I’m Melissa. I don’t think I’ve introduced myself yet (and if I did, sorry). I’ve been through emotional, physical, and sexual abuse. The emotional abuse was the most prevalent. I have a hard time trusting people no matter how hard they say and show that I can trust them. I have a hard time opening up. I like this because it feels like a journal. I type stuff and it goes out to the void. 🙃
