Not willing to put forth the effort...

...See more My partner and I are best friends. We love each other more than we've ever loved anyone else. But we hit a wall in our sexual chemistry. And that has become a sticking point for him, whether or not he wants to admit it. We have discussed it, and we have acknowledged the issue. I have opened up and been more forward, but he has rejected me due to his own internal dialogue. I get it...but that doesn't mean I'm okay with it. He isn't okay with it either, but in his mind, therapy means there's a fatal flaw, which means we are over. We finally talked today and I expressed that I didn't know if he was willing to put forth any effort to figuring out the issue and fixing it, and I also realized that he doesn't know either. He is so opposed to therapy that I'm not sure if he is willing to accept that something that breaks is not forever broken. I was honest and vulnerable, and I told him that i am leaving the ball in his court because he is the one that has not put forth the effort. And I love him so unexplainably and wholly, but knowing him, this is a lost cause. He could surprise me, but I'm not holding out hope at this point even if I really, truly wish he does.
