I am a college student taking classes in Social Work, Psychology and Health/Wellness. I, myself, have struggled with issues regarding my mental health; Depression, Anxiety, Alcohol/drug abuse, Cancer, Heartbreaks and Heartaches, C-PTSD, etc. For one of my assignments in class, I have to volunteer with a Social/Human Service Agency. Looking through many of the options recommended by my Professor, This seemed like an opportunity that I feel I could really enjoy long-term. It helps me, to help others, as much as I hope it helps them as well.
