...See more I believe I have been dealing with depression since I was 9 and my parents broke up. At first I ate to ease the pain and became over weight, I have been frequently absent from school since but have usually maintained good grades. After awhile eating my emotions didnt help anymore, so I basically stopped eating that much and over exercised. Now I am 16 and at a healthy weight. I have been asked out by many boys but fear that Im not good enough and am scared to get attached to people. I meet a girl named Jasmine, she lived in my neighborhood an we quickly became bestfriends after being together everyday for two years, one day she looked at me and told me she was moving out of state to live with her dad and that he would be there to get her in 20 minutes. I was crushed. Every since my anxiety and depression have become overwhelming, i always feel sick or tired. I never want to do anything. It is affecting my school work, and everything else. I dont really go to school because it gives me so much anxiety, not the work load, just the environment..my guidance counselor and teachers always ask why I have been out and I lie.. im running out of lies and dont know what to say, also I dont want to keep living like this... should I get a counselor? therapist? I really dont know
