For as long as I can remember, adults just naturally seemed to open up to me, so I grew up understanding a lot of things I was still too young to properly process. Hot lines from Junior high on. Back in 1988 I spent a year with Samaritans, which was establishing a toehold in America at the time...really changed everything in terms of how I conceived of the role of a listener. Went through a tough spell back in my 20s,  but overcame it on my own, since then I've been the person anyone can come to and talk about anyone. I've lived in many parts of the country and palled around in all kinds of social circles, so when I say I've heard it all...well, I have. 

I play badminton at county level and am a Grade 8 drummer. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching Netflix and spending time with my pet rabbit. I would love to simply chat about any topics, especially favourite music artists! I am here as a compassionate ear, to listen to and guide you.

As my screen name indicates, I AM here for you! I am a 2nd-year grad student working on a Master's in Social Work (MSW). Beyond that, I'm an experienced, inquisitive, and passionate professional with a strong background in communications, organizational development, and personal performance before returning to academia.  I am also a lifelong musician, having played drums, percussion, and sung for almost as long as I've been alive.  I'm currently playing with an incredible group that specializes in performing our own music as well as performing our own versions of incredible songs across many decades. I've been a writer, author, and speaker all for my entire life.

I am a compassionate and empathetic individual who values listening to others without judgment. I believe that sometimes, having someone who genuinely listens can make a meaningful difference. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where people feel heard, understood, and comfortable expressing themselves. I am patient, approachable, and open-minded, and I hope to use my communication skills to offer emotional support and help others feel less alone.
