Graham Barrone, Adip ICHP, MCBT

My name is Graham and I am very pleased to be a therapist within the 7 Cups Community. I have been a practicing psychotherapist and coach for 13 years and I would like to tell you a bit about what I can do but first I’d just like to say thank you for checking out my profile.

I fully understand how hard it can be to get to this point where you are reaching out for help. Coming to terms with the reality that you need help can be hard enough without the daunting task of actually finding a therapist. This is why I would whole heartedly encourage you to take all the time you need to find a therapist you feel comfortable, compatible and confident with.

Most of us qualified therapists would have gone through similar training, have an understanding of the popular concepts and share the same toolbox of tips and techniques to help you on your therapeutic journey. However impressive our training and credentials are if you are just not ‘feeling’ your therapist then you are unlikely to get what you want out of the process. Come and say hi and we can make an appointment to have an informal chat. This way we can break the ice, get to know each other a little and get that ‘feeling’.

At some point in our lives we will go through challenging times and our mental health can suffer as a result. Those times can ease and our health recover and we move on. Sometimes, however, it isn’t that easy. You may find that a problem is reoccurring, it won’t go away and you just can’t ignore it anymore. Ignoring a problem usually leads to it forcing itself in to the light through unhealthy, unsustainable and dysfunctional behaviours. It may take days, weeks, month or even years and you may hear it from your friends and family or even tirelessly from yourself.  But its not until the negative impact on our lives becomes to big do we ultimately say ‘enough is enough!

If you are at your ’enough is enough’ moment then your healing journey is about to begin and I hope I can be part of that journey with you.

I have been helping people with emotional and behavioural issues in one form or another for 13 years. I began my therapeutic professional life in Ireland as a Past Life Regression Therapist of all things and later broadened my horizons more formally by studying at the Institute of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy where I eventually achieved an Advanced Diploma. Over the years I have enjoyed continuing my professional development by studying and attending various accredited and unaccredited courses, trainings and talks at post graduate level and simple personal interest. As a result I have collected quite a number of tools tips and techniques and a large handful of certificates that include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Mindfulness, Mental health first Aid, Pain Management, Domestic Violence counselling, Motivational Interviewing to name a few.

Most recently I have been working for two and half years coaching people experiencing long term mental and physical health conditions to help them better manage those conditions and improve the quality of their lives.

You may want to simply chat and offload what it is that is going on for you right now or require some guidance at a difficult time. Maybe you only want to understand what is going on for you in a clearer way and learn skills to cope with it.  Or maybe you are ready to move forward to embrace a process of change.

Whatever it is you are wanting you will find me interested, compassionate and sincere, with a wealth of knowledge and experience to put you on the right path. I am ready to listen with acceptance and non-judgment.

I look forward to chatting with you and understanding how best I can help you.

Best wishes

Very understanding, gives great advice and encouraged me to look at how I could control my feelings and emotions rather than expect others to behave.
Dr. Graham has been an incredible supporter through my journal of recovery. His therapeutic resources and techniques are admirably effective and efficient with such timely results. With his help, I've gained balance in my life more and more every day while earning more peace and energy within myself. He's an amazing therapist and I can guarantee this with all the posivity I've gained from our collaboration.
Consistently messaging and very supportive.
My commitment to work with Graham now, is essentially a commitment to prioritize & deeply understand my own intention — with the benefit of a knowledgeable, experienced, communicative professional to talk through thoughts & emotions with... and to receive questions and other perspectives from. It feels like like sharing with a trusted friend, but, I receive very focused, knowledgeable and empathetic responses which I can use to progress along my journey. I’m sure I’ve chosen the right counsellor in Graham, as this is my first try with a written type of counselling session yet it has exceeded my expectations for being as effective as an in-person one. I feel I’ve put a great support in place for myself while I heal some things and strive for others.
Absolutely lovely. Knows what he is doing. A master of the craft of CBT and conversation simultaneously.
