Founded in 1999, Heal for Life Foundation operates on the belief that most addiction, depression, anxiety, and mental health conditions stem from childhood trauma or abuse. Set on 340 acres of Australian bushland with its own freshwater dam, the center provides a peaceful, natural environment for recovery across three distinct venues. The foundation employs a holistic approach to treating co-occurring disorders and trauma in men, women, and children through their proprietary T.R.E.E. recovery paradigm (Trust, Release, Empower, Educate). This framework focuses on releasing repressed emotions to achieve lasting neurobiological changes, incorporating elements from psychoanalytic, Rogerian, systemic family, transactional analysis, gestalt, and emotionally focused therapies. Rather than offering traditional group therapy, Heal for Life provides peer support and educational seminars to avoid potential re-traumatization. The property features three specialized healing centers: an adult center with single beds where clients bring their own linens and supplies; a teen women's center with four double bedrooms and three bathrooms; and a teen men's center with five large shared bedrooms and recreational amenities including a game room and pool table. Throughout the expansive grounds, clients can enjoy water recreation, kayaking, and walking trails, all contributing to a serene healing environment.
