Step 3: Be Okay with Silences

  1. Silences allow people to think and gain insight into whatever is being discussed.
  2. It gives us a moment to digest new information and consider how it makes us feel.
  3. It also gives a chance for us to consider what to say next and questions to ask.
  4. It allows us to feel and be vulnerable.

So, be open to and okay with silences.

Remember that some of the most meaningful conversations in life don't have a lot of talking.

User was insensitive to people who are handicapped. User tried to delete responses from over-50 wanting to seek help. User is untrained and abusive at times.
