How can I seek out help?

You can reach out to a loved one, friend, or seek counseling services at your academic institution or community setting.

You can make an appointment with a mental health professional through your health care provider.

What if I am having suicidal thoughts?

Sometimes, people with anxiety experience thoughts of hurting themselves or wishing to “just make the pain go away”. If you are experiencing these kinds of thoughts, you may be having what are sometimes called thoughts of suicide or suicidal ideation. If this happens to you, know that you are not alone and that it is of the utmost importance that you speak with someone right away for support and assistance. You can speak with a trained counselor (24 hours a day) at the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: call or text 988.
