Pregnant Hormones And possibly close to breaking up?
Relationship Stress / by AnxiousAvocado9856

...See more Me and my partner are in a long distance relationship for about a year almost. He has visited me quite a few times already and we also spent 2 weeks in Japan for vacation in February. Last year in December we found out I was pregnant. So far everything was going well, we didn't really have any issues in regards to the pregnancy. We acknowledged it and we're fine with proceeding. I'm now 20weeks pregnant and my hormones can be a complete rollercoaster. Throwback to yesterday when I was waking him up since he only had 5minutes until his work started. My work starts usually an hour or so before him, so when we're up late I usually am the one waking him up, gently. I don't nag or am annoying. Yet he has this habit at any slight mild frustration to call me the B word. And it's happened before and I've talked to him in a calm manner before about how it makes me feel and I don't tolerate it, regardless of the situation. No matter how frustrated one is about any situation one should not resort to name calling, especially if something is done in good faith without any ill intentions. So I got upset yesterday and was once again calling him out on it, how disrespectful this was towards me, and obviously also towards our future child. Since I wouldn't want to raise a child with its dad continuously calling me the B word as soon as he's frustrated. This caused such a long discussion of him coming up with excuses and justifications. I understand he's in the process of finding a therapist, since he's not feeling well, yet I do not see it as an excuse to call me the B word just because he's frustrated. Queue a long winded 3 hour Convo of him complaining why I wouldn't let it go, which in my defense, 3 hrs and all I got were "Sry" "I'm sorry -" followed by an excuse instead of a sincere apology. And him claiming I don't love him, since I'd apparently want him to lie instead of being honest with what he's thinking. Which to me sounds like another excuse to justify calling me the B word. I don't think it's fair, to disrespect me in such a way, that makes him think it's okay to treat me like this. I've been struggling with this now since yesterday and he hasn't spoken to me anymore ever since, since he mocked me slightly over it and called me a mad puss... He ignored me last night after work and only sent gifs when I was trying to express myself again in hopes of resolving this... He's 25 and I'm 29. We both work demanding jobs and I'm still working too as Customer Support which is currently getting close to burnout, due to the high demand of productivity they expect from us, instead of hiring more people. So I get being frustrated etc and I'm usually very compassionate when it comes to those things, it still doesn't seem okay to call someone a B word, no matter how frustrated one is over anything... I just don't know what to make of this, since I'm scared of doing something stupid like breaking up in the heat of the moment... When all I'm asking for is the respect that I give him, to be given back...
