I'm writing a letter to the person who drove me to attempt suicide

...See more So yeah, the title sort of says it all, and I'd like advice on the contents of this first draft of the letter. I'll also be getting advice from the school counsellor on this. My main aim is to help this person to understand that I don't hold animosity towards them, but instead I feel like this is to help me grow past that point in my life and hopefully we can be better friends. Yeah, we were friends at the time and I think I still consider him a friend if a rather distant one, we've been friends since we were 10. I will delete this thread once I've posted the letter's final form. Also sorry it's in a few different posts, it's quite long and there's a character limit on this website for posts

How is someone 'worth' anything?

...See more I have recently had one of the few arguments I've ever had with my girlfriend about the fact that I often just smother feelings or don't tell other people (specifically her) things because they would hurt them or make those people feel bad, even if not telling someone brings me pain. Through our argument, she asked me why I do this even though it hurts me, and I came to the realisation that I actually don't really care what happens to me as long as other people are benefited. I see myself as worthless, and it's my body and self, so why don't I have the final say in what I'm worth? My question (and the whole point of this discussion I guess) is how does someone have 'worth' and who gets to apply that or take it away? What is wrong with my view of myself and can you convince me otherwise?
