...See more I was in a relationship for 6 years that resulted in my beautiful child. The first 5 years were great. The last year the man I loved turned into someone I did not recognize. He was verbally abusive, inconaiderate and disrespectful. We have been apart for 4 years now. The first 2 years there was a friendship and glimmer of the man I had fallen in love with. The last two years we have developed a physical relationship. I've tried to convince myself to stop and I always seem to give in. I blame it on the fact that I haven't been with anyone that way but him in 10 years. I don't want him back. I miss the feelings of when things were good but the bad was really bad. I would like to find a heathly relationship but my anxiety always makes me find a reason to cancel dates. I don't trust any of them want anything more than sex and I'm not ready for that. I am also terrified of wasting another 6 years on the wrong guy. I don't know how to move on :( So far this year my ex and I haven't discussed anything outside of our son. I question how long that will remain though. I apreciate any and all advice.
