the body during flashbacks

...See more wondering if anyone knows if this is a normal experience/has had something similar occur- when i have physical or extreme flashbacks, my body always moves to the same position i was in during the event, and certain body parts feel unable to move. my arms and hands feel weighed down and frozen, where even if i try to move them, i'm not able to. my legs move to a certain position and either feel frozen or i feel as though i'm not "allowed" to move them, so even if i physically can, i'm not able to for that reason. i have heard about other people freezing up, but never about the body mirroring the same position it was in during assault- is this all in my head?

...See more so i have very bad social anxiety, and i just ended up buying glasses that i very much need, but i hate the look of because the woman working there was making me extremely anxious. i totally understand people like this are just doing their job, but for some reason being handed a lot of options and pushed to make a decision/agree on someone elses opinion of what i should get stresses me out so much. i think because of a mixture of anxiety and trauma i'm incapable of saying no to people and speaking my mind, so i end up doing things like this where i just end up inconveniencing myself and sometimes wasting money. anybody have any tips on this or understand this feeling?

trouble communicating/speaking due to trauma?

...See more hi all- this is my first time back on 7cups after a few years so i'm having to relearn where to put everything haha but hopefully this is ok (lmk if this type of post is better suited somewhere else). anyway, i was wondering if anyone else shared my experiences. i have complex trauma and i think that because of this, i have times of severe anxiety or just random time periods where it becomes nearly impossible to speak or communicate with others. it feels much easier not to say anything at all, even if i want to talk or i want company. this happens especially with my parents. i don't know how to explain this besides that i feel like words don't want to come out/i can't voice or think through what's going on in my head. i get incredibly frustrated and irritable at these times. it also feels wrong to voice my opinion or open up, and i think that's all a result of past abuse. i'm not sure this is necessarily a type of selective mutism, especially since i am about to be 18 and i think that usually applies to young children, but i'm really not sure. has anyone else experienced this/is it normal?
